Behind the Scenes: Our Nest on Main Debut

We’re officially in — and what a ride it’s been.

Scout & Sparrow has found a new home inside Nest on Main in Northport, and we wanted to take a moment to share a little bit of the behind-the-scenes chaos, excitement, and heart that got us here.

How It Started

When we first walked through Nest, something just felt right. It’s the kind of place that celebrates creativity and small businesses — a mix of vintage charm and modern makers — and we knew we had to be part of it.

Once we committed, the fun (and frenzy) began: sourcing, sorting, tagging, wrapping, packing, and yes — second-guessing everything we thought we’d already decided on. If you’ve ever opened a space like this, you get it. It’s a mess before it’s magic.

The Setup

We hauled in our finds — vintage treasures, handmade goods, quirky gifts, and a few things we just couldn’t resist — and got to work making it feel like us.

There were late nights, a lot of moving things around (then moving them back), and those “does this look right?” moments that only resolve when you trust your gut and step back to see it all together.

Opening Day

By the time we opened the doors, the shelves were full, the space felt just right, and the nerves turned into excitement.

It’s a small space with a lot of soul — filled with things we love and hope you’ll love too.
